Asher Writes

Making women feel better about their bodies with Neon Moon.

The company: Neon Moon, a UK based feminist lingerie brand.

The briefs: To write web copy for their new website, in addition to press releases and a digital poster to announce their London -wide model search.

My process: Neon Moon’s TOV is a fierce, confident, unapologetic woman, so this was a lot of fun to write. They already had a detailed brand voice too.

I began by using my network of female friends to get their opinion on what suitable copy would look like. Then I voraciously consumed different media outlets for women including Women’s Health, The F Word, Sister Magazine etc. I also carried out secondary research into the main issues for women around body positivity, and the difficulty of finding lingerie that made them feel good about their bodies.

Once I had all this info, I created a profile of the woman I was writing for and got to work.

The outcome: Their website launch resulted in their best week of sales at the time and the digital posters and press releases helped to have over 200 women in 10 days apply to model for them.

Neon Moon rebranded their website and launched a new collection. They contacted me to rewrite all of the website content.
